Cheese Sauce

1 c. water

1/3 c. pimento

optional 1/2 c. cashews

1 t. salt 1/2 c.

unprocessed sunflower seeds

1 t. onion powder

1/4 t. garlic salt

1/4 c. nutritional yeast

1 T. lemon juice

You may use 2T. Emes Kosher-Jel instead of the cashews and sunflower seeds. Blend smooth all ingredients. If using Emes Jel, let your 1 c. of water come to a boil. Then blend water, lemon juice and Emes Jel in blender until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. You may process on 10 lb. pressure for 60 mins. You may also chill until firm . It freezes very well. You may use for grilled cheese, over salads, cooked vegetables, pasta, rice or potatoes. Melts when exposed to heat and will become firm again if refrigerated. You would have to increase this recipe for canning. I thought you might like to make a small portion to see how you liked it. I personally think it taste great.
